Every Tarnished must make decisions as they travel through and explore the Lands Between, and Elden Ring is brimming with opportunities for them to do so. Due to the fact that many players do not want to make the wrong decision, it can be overwhelming at times. Many times, players are forced to make a choice between two options, with no opportunity to change their minds until the next playthrough occurs. Some of the content that falls into this category can be boss remembrances (if players have completed all Walking Mausoleums), as well as interacting with specific NPCs and helping them progress in their respective stories. While buy Elden Ring runes may appear daunting at first, and Elden Ring Runes XBOX may appear as though Tarnished are constantly being forced to make decisions, many of the options do not have a lasting impact on the players’ experiences and playthroughs.
Having said that, one decision that many players are having difficulty making is whether or not to use the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen. This Boss Remembrance can be obtained by defeating Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, who can be found at the end of the Academy of Raya Lucaria’s main questline (see below). Enia at the Roundtable Hold will give players the option of exchanging Boss Remembrances for a Carian Regal Scepter, Rennala’s Glintstone Staff, or Rennala’s Full Moon, which is a powerful spell that Rennala uses during the boss fight. In this section, we’ll go over the advantages of each option and determine which is the better choice for players.
The Carian Regal Scepter is a Glintstone staff that can be obtained by trading the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen to Enia in the Roundtable Hold in exchange for the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen. However, despite the fact that this is one of the best staves in Elden Ring, comes with a hefty Intelligence requirement of 60 to use it. The use of this staff should not be a problem for those who have already specialized in sorcery and magical-based attacks, as reaching 60 Intelligence by the end of a playthrough should be relatively straightforward.
It is a powerful catalyst for sorcery when equipped with +10 reinforcement. It has a Sorcery Scaling of 373, which is only outperformed by Lusat’s Glintstone Staff and the Prince of Death’s Staff when they have their maximum reinforcements. The staff also has the additional benefit of boosting Full Moon sorceries, which is an added bonus. There are currently only two Full Moon Sorceries available in Elden Ring, with one of them serving as the other option for the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen event. However, there is plenty of room for FromSoftware to expand the game’s content through DLC that will be released in the future.
The Full Moon of Rennala
When exchanging the Remembrance of the Full Moon Queen, the other option is to use Rennala’s Full Moon as a substitute. To use this Full Moon sorcery, you must have an extremely high Intelligence score of 70. Intelligence builds, much like the Carian Regal Scepter, should have no trouble reaching this level by the end of a single playthrough.
The recent buffs to many sorceries in Elden Ring with Patch 1.04, Rennala’s Full Moon isn’t much more viable in both PvE and PvP scenarios than it was before. A ten-percent reduction in the amount of time cheap Elden Ring runes takes to cast was implemented, which was a welcome change for this particular spell. Additionally, using this spell has the added benefit of dispelling all sorceries that come into contact with Elden Ring Faith Arcane Build as well as reducing the target’s magic damage negation by ten percentage points.
Overall, this is a powerful sorcery that performs admirably in both PvE and PvP environments. In fact, players can use this spell to free-aim, which gives it even more versatility. The spell’s casting time has been reduced by 10% as a result of the recent patch, and the animation recovery time has been shortened as well.
Which one should you go with?
When comes to choosing between these two spells, players should be aware that both require a significant investment of Intelligence to be effective. In order to use these, players must have 60 or 70 base Intelligence. While those attribute levels can also be obtained through the use of certain talismans and armor pieces, these two items are specifically designed for Intelligence builds in their entirety.
Rennala’s Full Moon is going to be the better choice for Intelligence builds in the future. The Carian Regal Scepter is a fantastic Glintstone staff to have in your collection. However, Lusat’s Glintstone Staff is even more powerful, thanks to improved sorcery scaling at the expense of increased FP consumption. Because of the recent decrease in cast time and increase in recovery time, this Full Moon sorcery is expected to perform exceptionally well in Intelligence builds.
Rennala’s Full Moon and the Carian Regal Scepter are not items that can be obtained through achievement or trophy hunting. As a result, players should not be concerned about missing out on opportunities in that regard.
Those interested in obtaining both items should seek out the Walking Mausoleums that can be found throughout the Lands Between. Players can use this area to duplicate Remembrances of bosses, which they can then return to Enia at the Roundtable to exchange for the other item.
