The film has a mostly new cast and crew, including Jakes Bejoy’s music, Sujith Sarang’s photography, and Sreejith Sarang’s editing. According to critics, the film was a sleeper smash and a blockbuster after its initial release on December 29, 2016. Aa Drushya was remade in Kannada as a sequel to the original film (2019). Varun Dhawan will play a significant role in a Hindi remake of the film.
4. Beast
Nelson is the man behind the camera for this 2022 Indian Tamil action comedy, which he also wrote the screenplay for and directed. Vijay and Pooja Hegde star in the film, with Selvaraghavan, Shine, and others. Ankur Ajit Vikal, Ankur Ajit Vikal and Tom Chacko are among the cast members of the film. The plot centers around a former RAW agent’s mission to rescue hostages trapped in a shopping mall by terrorists.
Sun Pictures acquired the production rights to Vijay’s 65th film as the lead actor, provisionally named Thalapathy 65, in early January 2020, and AR Murugadoss was set to write and helm the project. After Murugadoss refused to reduce his compensation, the film’s producers sacked him in October 2020. Nelson was then brought on board and penned a new screenplay for the picture.
5. Uppena
Buchi Babu Sana directs Uppena, a romantic action-comedy. The Mythri Movie Makers banner produced this film. Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Krithi Shetty star as the film’s significant actors, with Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi filling an essential supporting role. Devi Sri Prasad composed the music.
Devi Sri Prasad combines the Aalap tradition with his current mainstream music to create this calming and rather raucous composition. The song begins with Srikanth Chandra’s Hindi vocals, followed by Javed Ali’s melodic ease. Shreemani’s lyrics are vibrant and alive. The statement ‘Nee oohale, oopiraina picchodini, nee oopire praanamaina pilladini’ has a lot of heartfelt significance.
