DIY Pillow Covers

If you’re looking for a quick and easy home decor project, pillow covers are a great option. You can find pillow covers at most fabric or craft stores, or you can make your own! DIY pillow covers are a great way to add a personal touch to your home décor, and they’re also very affordable. Here’s how to make your own DIY pillow covers:

  1. Start by measuring the size of your pillow. You’ll need to know the width and length so that you can cut your fabric accordingly.
  2. Cut your fabric to the appropriate size, leaving about an inch extra on all sides for seam allowance.
  3. Hem all four sides of the fabric using a sewing machine or by hand-stitching. To hem the fabric, simply fold over the edge about ½ an inch and sew it in place.
  4. Once all four sides are hemmed, pin the fabric wrong-sides together and sew along the edges, leaving an opening for turning the cover right-side out.
  5. Turn the cover right-side out and insert your pillow into it. Hand-stitch or machine-sew the opening closed, and you’re finished!

  1. Choose your wall. The first step is to choose the wall that you want to transform into a statement wall. This could be an empty wall in your living room or bedroom, or even a small section of a larger wall.
  2. Decide on your design. Once you’ve chosen your wall, it’s time to decide on the design you want to create. This could be anything from a geometric pattern to simple words or phrases. If you’re not sure what you want, take some time to browse through inspiration online or in magazines.
  3. Start painting or hanging things up. Once you have your design planned out, it’s time to start painting or hanging things up! If you’re painting, use masking tape to help create clean lines and achieve the perfect look. If you’re hanging things up, useCommand strips so that you don’t damage your walls.
  4. Step back and enjoy your new statement wall! After all your hard work, take a step back and admire your new statement wall!

DIY Mirror Frame

If you have a plain mirror that you’d like to dress up, try this easy DIY mirror frame. You can use any type of wood trim that you like, and paint or stain it to match your decor. This is a great way to add a personal touch to your home, and it’s also a great project for beginners.

-Miter saw or miter box and hand saw

-Paint or stain

-Adhesive (I used E6000)

-Cordless drill

-1/8” drill bit

-Ruler or measuring tape

-Pencil

First, determine the size of your mirror. Mine was 24”x36”. Then, cut your wood trim to size using a miter saw or miter box and hand saw. If you don’t have either of these tools, you can have the wood cut at your local hardware store. Just be sure to measure twice and cut once!

Once the trim is cut to size, paint or stain it as desired. I chose to paint mine white to match my walls. Let the paint or stain dry completely before moving on to the next step.

To attach the trim to the mirror, use an adhesive designed for bonding glass and metal. I used E6000,
